Sildenafil 100 mg Product and Availability Guide
Sildenafil 100 mg is one of the standard U.S. tablet strengths in the Viagra-reference product family for erectile dysfunction. It is available as brand Viagra 100 mg and through multiple FDA-approved generic manufacturers. The “100 mg” label identifies the strength of sildenafil in the tablet; it does not mean that every 100 mg sildenafil product is from the same manufacturer or looks the same.
This guide is for product identification and pharmacy comparison. It does not recommend that a particular person take 100 mg or change an existing prescription.
What the 100 mg Strength Represents
Current U.S. Viagra labeling includes 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg tablets. FDA-approved generic sildenafil tablets for erectile dysfunction commonly mirror those strengths. A 100 mg prescription can therefore be filled with the branded 100 mg product or with an approved generic 100 mg product when substitution is permitted under the prescription and pharmacy rules.
The strength should not be confused with tablet quantity. “Sildenafil 100 mg, 30 tablets” and “sildenafil 100 mg, 6 tablets” are the same strength but different quantities and may have very different total prices.
Viagra 100 mg vs Generic Sildenafil 100 mg
Viagra is the brand product; sildenafil is the active ingredient. FDA-approved sildenafil 100 mg generics must meet FDA requirements for pharmaceutical equivalence and bioequivalence to the reference product. Approved generics can nevertheless differ in shape, color, markings, packaging and inactive ingredients.
Current DailyMed records describe Viagra 100 mg as a blue, rounded-diamond tablet; imprint and labeler details should be checked against the specific current NDC because marketed labeling can change over time. Generic products can be white, off-white, green or another manufacturer-specific appearance. Appearance alone therefore does not determine whether a tablet is a legitimate generic.

Current U.S. Generic Manufacturers
Current DailyMed records show multiple U.S. 100 mg sildenafil products for erectile dysfunction. Examples include:
- Camber Pharmaceuticals: current sildenafil tablets in 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg strengths, with the label updated in May 2026.
- Ajanta Pharma USA: current sildenafil tablets in 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg strengths, including 100 mg products in the 27241-069 NDC family.
- Cipla USA: sildenafil tablets in the 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg Viagra-reference strength family.
- Teva Pharmaceuticals USA: sildenafil 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg tablets with manufacturer-specific tablet markings.
This is not a complete list of every approved U.S. manufacturer. The Orange Book and current DailyMed records should be used when the exact manufacturer or NDC matters.
Manufacturer-specific pages provide more detail on Cipla sildenafil products and Ajanta sildenafil products.
Tablet Appearance and Product Identification
Different approved generics can look different. Current Teva labeling, for example, uses a manufacturer-specific imprint for its 100 mg tablet, while Ajanta, Camber and other manufacturers use their own shapes and markings. FDA’s Orange Book guidance explicitly allows therapeutically equivalent products to differ in certain characteristics such as shape, packaging and excipients.
To identify a refill, compare more than color:
- generic or brand name;
- 100 mg strength;
- manufacturer or labeler;
- NDC;
- tablet imprint;
- quantity and pharmacy label.
If a tablet looks different from a previous refill, the manufacturer may have changed. The pharmacy can confirm whether the current product matches the prescription and approved record.
Prescription Status
Sildenafil 100 mg for erectile dysfunction is a prescription product in the United States. A legitimate pharmacy comparison therefore assumes a valid prescription. The presence of sildenafil under an “over-the-counter” category on some websites does not make the drug OTC.
If a website offers “generic Viagra 100 mg” without identifying the manufacturer, prescription process or regulated product, that listing should not be treated as equivalent to an FDA-approved U.S. generic simply because the strength is 100 mg.
Sildenafil 100 mg Price
The price of 100 mg sildenafil can vary substantially. Brand Viagra is commonly priced differently from generic sildenafil, and generic cash prices can vary among pharmacies and manufacturers. Insurance can change the comparison again because a plan may cover generic sildenafil differently from brand Viagra.
For an apples-to-apples price comparison, keep these factors constant:
- 100 mg strength;
- same tablet quantity;
- brand versus generic;
- cash versus insurance price;
- manufacturer if a specific generic is required.
A quote for a single tablet, a four-tablet package and a 30-tablet prescription are not directly comparable without adjusting for quantity. Likewise, a discount-program price is not necessarily the same as an insurance copay.
Important Safety Information
Sildenafil is contraindicated with organic nitrates or nitrites and with guanylate cyclase stimulators such as riociguat because these combinations can cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure. Current labeling also advises against combining sildenafil with another PDE5 inhibitor.
Seek emergency medical care for an erection lasting more than 4 hours. Sudden loss of vision or a sudden decrease or loss of hearing requires prompt medical attention. Other medicines and relevant cardiovascular conditions should be reviewed with the prescriber or pharmacist before the prescription is filled.
Compare licensed pharmacy options: check current pricing and availability using the exact prescribed product, strength and quantity.
Availability at a Pharmacy
Because several manufacturers market approved generic sildenafil, a pharmacy may be able to fill a 100 mg prescription even when one manufacturer is unavailable. However, pharmacies do not necessarily stock every manufacturer or every package quantity at the same time.
If manufacturer continuity matters, ask which product is currently in stock and whether the pharmacy can order a specific approved manufacturer. If the prescription is written for brand Viagra without substitution, brand availability is a different question from generic availability.
For current Paulsen’s Pharmacy sildenafil availability, contact the pharmacy directly; inventory can change.
How Pharmacy Quotes Can Differ
Two pharmacies can quote different prices for the same 100 mg strength because they may stock different generic manufacturers, use different wholesalers, apply different cash pricing or process insurance differently. That does not necessarily mean one quote is for an inferior or superior medicine. The first step is confirming that both quotes refer to FDA-approved sildenafil 100 mg tablets and the same quantity.
If one quote is specifically for brand Viagra and the other is for an approved generic, the products are in different product categories even though they share the same active ingredient and strength. If both are generics, ask for the manufacturer and NDC if that information matters to the comparison.
100 mg ED Tablets vs Other Sildenafil Products
The 100 mg strength discussed here belongs to the common Viagra-reference ED tablet family. Sildenafil also appears in other products, including 20 mg tablets labeled for pulmonary arterial hypertension and other dosage forms. Those products are not simply “cheaper sildenafil 100 mg alternatives” and should not be compared as if they were the same labeled product.
Product indication and dosage form are part of the regulatory identity. A pharmacy should fill the prescription written for the relevant product rather than substituting a different sildenafil indication or form based only on active ingredient.
How to Check a Legitimate U.S. 100 mg Product
The most reliable route is to match the label to an approved product record. FDA’s Orange Book lists approved products and therapeutic-equivalence information. DailyMed publishes current labeling for many marketed products, including manufacturer, NDC, appearance and strength.
A legitimate product should have coherent information across the prescription label, manufacturer, strength and NDC. A seller’s photograph or claim that a pill is “generic Viagra” is not enough by itself. If the product is an international brand rather than a U.S. generic, its status should be checked through the regulator in the market for which it was supplied.
What to Ask if the Generic Manufacturer Changes
A refill may come from a different approved generic manufacturer than the previous fill. If that happens, the tablet can look different even though the product remains sildenafil 100 mg. Ask the pharmacy to confirm the manufacturer, NDC and that the product is an FDA-approved sildenafil 100 mg tablet in the same Viagra-reference family.
If a specific manufacturer is preferred because of prior experience, packaging or continuity, ask whether the pharmacy can obtain that manufacturer before transferring the prescription. Manufacturer availability can change with wholesaler contracts and supply, so continuity is a practical inventory question rather than a guarantee attached to the prescription itself.
