Our Mission
Paulsen’s Pharmacy exists to provide dependable community pharmacy service with empathy, accuracy and respect for the people who rely on us for medication support.
Empathy in Everyday Pharmacy Care
Medication questions often arrive when a patient or caregiver is already dealing with illness, uncertainty or a complicated care routine. Our goal is to listen carefully, explain what the pharmacy can address and help identify the next appropriate step without making the process more difficult than it needs to be.
Accuracy and Clear Communication
Accuracy is fundamental to pharmacy work. That includes careful prescription handling, clear medication information and attention to changes in a patient’s current medication list. When a question belongs with the prescriber or another member of the care team, dependable service also means making that boundary clear.
Support for Ongoing Medication Needs
Many people use medicines for months or years. Refill timing, medication changes, multiple prescribers and caregiver involvement can make those routines harder to manage. Paulsen’s aims to be a consistent pharmacy contact for practical medication and prescription questions.
More information about current pharmacy support is available under Medication Services.
Community Relationships
Paulsen’s has served Portland since 1918. A long community relationship is maintained one interaction at a time: by giving people accurate information, treating questions seriously and providing a reliable local point of contact for pharmacy needs.
Hospice, Long-Term Care and Supportive Medication Needs
Medication routines may become especially complex when caregivers or supportive-care teams are involved. Paulsen’s maintains dedicated information about hospice pharmacy support and long-term care pharmacy support. Our role is the pharmacy side of medication support and coordination within the treatment plan established by the appropriate healthcare professionals.
A Durable Standard
Services and products can change over time. The values that guide the pharmacy should be more durable: empathy, accuracy, honest communication and dependable service to patients, families and the Portland community.
